  • Campaign orchestration: plan and execute integrated multi-channel programs across channels with calendar and asset tracking.
  • Event marketing and partnerships: support SXSW and SXSW EDU on-site activation, logistics, and post-event insights.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the development, execution, and optimization of email marketing campaigns
  • Support the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels
  • Maintain marketing calendars, project management tools, asset trackers, and shared documentation
  • Assist with email production, including asset coordination, graphics, testing, and photo management
  • Track campaign performance and help prepare reports, recaps, executive summaries, and marketing insights
  • Analyze campaign data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for optimization
  • Support marketing events, community activations, partnerships, and meetups
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the timely delivery of marketing assets and campaigns
  • Provide general support for ongoing marketing initiatives and departmental needs
  • The Marketing Coordinator supports the on-site execution of conference and festival marketing for SXSW & SXSW EDU and generally supports the overall production of both events through various marketing operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in marketing or a related role
  • Experience with HubSpot or a comparable email marketing/CRM platform
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS, particularly for email template creation and editing
  • Familiarity with collaboration and project management tools such as Slack, Airtable, and Google Workspace
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or other basic design/photo editing tools
  • Excellent written, verbal, and copy editing skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, self-motivated team player with strong prioritization and follow-through skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
  • Knowledge and passion for innovation, tech, film, TV, music, and education industries are a plus
  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally, as needed
  • Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc
  • May require occasional bending, reaching, kneeling, or climbing stairs
  • Ability to work outdoors, including exposure to varying temperatures or noise levels
  • Core business office hours are from 10 am—6 pm Monday through Friday. You must be available to work additional hours from January through March, including evenings and weekends. You must also be available for the March event, which will have extended working hours onsite.
