Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Leads or supports the strategic development of pursuits from RFP evaluation of requirements, proposal creation, coordination with sub-consultants, form completion, interview preparation, including all submittals, whether print, electronic, or public portal.
  • Maintains proposal schedules and diligently manages pursuit teams through deadlines by issuing drafts, consistently checking with pursuit leaders, scheduling review meetings, and submitting final proposals.
  • Enhances proposal content by evaluating technical and marketing content, collaborating with internal staff and consultants, and creative storytelling/writing and copyediting proposal content.
  • Develops supporting graphics that enhance pursuit messages (schedules, tables, infographics, photography)
  • Performs critical self- and peer-analysis to assure quality of content, graphics, layout, and brand compliance.
  • Gathers information on past/current projects and staff experience to develop project summaries and staff resumes.
  • Properly archives response materials.
  • Supporting consistent maintenance and improvement of the marketing database through data collection and system integrations.
  • Creating brand-compliant graphics to support advertising, digital content, and other printed collateral.
  • Supporting web and social media maintenance.
  • Event coordination, including material preparation for conferences/expos, internal and external events, and project photography support.
  • Occasional project-related support and special projects (as assigned).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or communications with 5+ years of experience in A/E/C industry leading proposal efforts in a professional services firm.
  • Advanced proficiency in the use and application of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong composition and editing skills.
  • Interest and ability to write compelling prose for various uses and audiences (AP Style).
  • Elevated graphic design sensibility and skills (understanding of how to reflect the brand in materials, messaging and understanding principles of quality document layout).
  • Demonstrated “self-starter” with a history of completing projects independently.
  • Presentation of a portfolio may be requested.

Nice To Have

  • Experience using Digital Asset Management software (Open Asset) and other database management software.
  • Share if you have additional competencies with web design/management experience with Word Press, Squarespace, HTML, JavaScript or SEO (samples may be requested)
  • Basic knowledge of plotters, printers, and binding equipment.
  • Experience working with vendors for the fulfillment/production of brochures, banners, flyers, and branded merchandise.
  • Photo editing and video creation skills.
