Description

Atakapa Service, LLC. – A Waggoner Company is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Marketing Coordinator to support the company’s marketing and business development efforts. This position is based in the Birmingham, AL office and will assist with administrative marketing tasks, bid tracking, and identifying opportunities for company growth.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and interested in supporting marketing initiatives within the construction and infrastructure services industry.
Atakapa Services, LLC. - A Waggoner Company specializes in evaluating, maintaining and designing rehabilitation methods for sanitary sewer and storm drain infrastructure. We work with municipalities, wastewater utility contractors and engineering firms to inspect, clean, and rehabilitate their underground wastewater and drainage infrastructure. We provide a comprehensive range of services and reports to help our clients address the most complex sewer and storm drain operation and maintenance problems.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify public and private bid opportunities relevant to the company’s services
  • Maintain and update bid tracking logs and proposal documentation
  • Assist with administrative paperwork related to bids, proposals, and marketing materials
  • Support the preparation and organization of qualification packages, proposals, and marketing collateral
  • Identify and help coordinate business development opportunities, including industry meetings, conferences, and networking events
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and association meetings to support business development initiatives
  • Assist with maintaining the company’s CRM or contact database
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather information for marketing and proposal submissions
  • Perform general marketing and administrative support tasks as needed
  • Manage social media efforts

Qualifications

Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in marketing, administrative support, or business development (internships may be considered)
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to attend networking or industry events
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with proposal coordination or bid tracking
  • Familiarity with construction, engineering, or infrastructure industries
  • Experience with CRM systems or marketing databases
