Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Write ecommerce copy to meet marketing expectations for ecommerce website, category pages, emails and other digital copy as necessary
  • Maintain high standards of copywriting and exercise quality control on all copy, including obtaining approvals, fact-checking and editing/proofreading
  • Work closely with marketing teams to capture accurate source and product information and identify benefits for the customer
  • Ensure copy is written in the correct voice for each brand
  • Load and maintain marketing copy and product attributes in various online databases using Microsoft Excel and CMS to leverage content across digital media outlet
  • Track changes and updates in project management systems
  • Work closely with Marketing Content Manager and Product Managers on each project to ensure deploy dates are met
  • Participate in marketing/creative meetings when new projects are being requested, and work collaboratively with internal team and external stakeholders
  • Use AI-enabled tools, including Microsoft Copilot, to accelerate content research, ideation, drafting, summarization, and optimization activities.
  • Evaluate, edit, fact-check, and refine AI-assisted content to ensure accuracy, compliance, brand alignment, and customer relevance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required with focus in Communication, Marketing, English or related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years professional writing experience for ecommerce direct to consumer; experience writing product descriptions highly desirable
  • Superior understanding and application of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax
  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to write in a range of voices and styles for diverse audiences and concisely communicate complex or demanding subject matter
  • Demonstrates adaptability and curiosity in adopting emerging content technologies and applying them responsibly to improve productivity, quality, and customer experience.
  • Understanding of SEO, AEO, and AI-driven search experiences, including how content structure, clarity, accuracy, and authority influence discoverability and performance across traditional search engines and AI-generated responses.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams with interaction with graphic designers, usability experts, product managers, legal and compliance, and line-of-business owners
  • Strong external and internal relationship, presentation, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience preferred using AI-enabled productivity and content creation tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to support research, ideation, drafting, optimization, and workflow efficiency while demonstrating strong writing, editing, fact-checking, critical thinking, and editorial judgment.
