Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day execution of social media across platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook
  • Develop and manage a dynamic content calendar aligned with company and business-unit priorities
  • Create, write, schedule, and publish engaging content in a fast-moving environment
  • Track and analyze performance metrics (reach, engagement, growth, impressions, clicks) and provide actionable insights
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to inform content strategy
  • Write, edit, and publish blogs that showcase GCON’s projects, expertise, and thought leadership
  • Collaborate with project teams and subject matter experts to translate technical information into clear, compelling stories
  • Maintain consistent tone, accuracy, and quality across all written materials
  • Support writing needs including project profiles, award submissions, website updates, leadership messaging, and company announcements
  • Support internal communications that strengthen alignment, transparency, and culture

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in communications, marketing, PR, or agency-equivalent roles (AEC or professional services experience preferred)
  • Strong media relations skills with trade, business, or regional outlets
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into engaging, accessible content
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfort working under pressure and adapting to shifting deadlines
  • Willingness to learn and understand construction-related conceptsAbility to travel for select engagements
