Job Description

The Park District of Franklin Park is seeking a Communications and Marketing Manager to oversee all marketing, communications, public relations, and sponsorship efforts, including managing publications, social media, the district website, and digital marketing platforms. This role is responsible for developing and implementing marketing plans, managing budgets, coordinating community outreach, serving as a media liaison, and supporting events and board initiatives, while also supervising interns and leading the Marketing Committee. Candidates should have a degree in communications or a related field, up to two years of experience, strong writing and design skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite. The position requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities, as well as flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends. We participate in a special recreation cooperative, the West Suburban Special Recreation Association (WSSRA). Supported by eleven park districts, the association provides special leisure services for people with disabilities.
