Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Marketing Strategy and Campaigns
  • Develop and implement marketing plans for MAASE programs, services, events, membership, consulting, and strategic initiatives.
  • Support go-to-market planning for new and existing services, including audience identification, messaging, campaign timelines, and promotional strategies.
  • Collaborate with staff, consultants, committees, and partners to align marketing efforts with organizational priorities.
  • Maintain an organization-wide marketing and communications calendar.
  • Track campaign results and recommend improvements.
  • Content, Brand, and Design
  • Write, edit, and produce content for newsletters, email campaigns, websites, social media, presentations, publications, and promotional materials.
  • Maintain a consistent organizational voice, visual identity, and brand across programs and platforms.
  • Create or coordinate logos, graphics, one-pagers, brochures, prospectuses, slide decks, event materials, and other branded resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, business, graphic design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least three years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations, digital engagement, or a related field.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and content-development skills.
  • Experience creating marketing materials for websites, email, social media, publications, and presentations.
  • Experience with website content management systems, email marketing platforms, and social media management.
  • Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or comparable design tools.
  • Strong project management, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a primarily remote environment.
  • Ability to travel within Michigan occasionally and provide onsite support for designated events.

Preferred

  • Experience with a nonprofit, association, education organization, consulting firm, or professional-services organization.
  • Experience marketing events, memberships, professional learning, consulting services, or fee-for-service programs.
  • Familiarity with analytics, search engine optimization, audience segmentation, customer-relationship management, or marketing automation.
  • Experience using Asana, Google Workspace, Constant Contact, and artificial intelligence tools.
  • Familiarity with Michigan education or special education.
