Leading Home Care is a trusted Louisiana-based provider of in-home care services for seniors and individuals with disabilities. Since 1997, we have been committed to helping clients maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life through compassionate, personalized care. Our team proudly serves communities across Louisiana through Medicaid waiver and home care programs.

Position Summary

Leading Home Care is seeking a creative and motivated Marketing & Communications Intern to support our marketing, branding, recruitment, and community outreach efforts. This internship is ideal for a student or recent graduate interested in marketing, communications, social media, public relations, or healthcare administration.

The intern will gain hands-on experience creating digital content, supporting recruitment campaigns, managing social media initiatives, and helping tell the stories of caregivers, clients, and staff throughout Louisiana.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with creating and scheduling social media content across platforms
  • Support caregiver recruitment marketing campaigns
  • Draft content for newsletters, flyers, blogs, email campaigns, and internal communications
  • Help create graphics and promotional materials using Canva or similar tools
  • Assist with photography and video content at company events and office activities
  • Monitor social media engagement and marketing analytics
  • Help maintain website and online directory content
  • Support community outreach and event promotion efforts
  • Collaborate with the communications team on branding and storytelling initiatives

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
  • Basic graphic design experience preferred (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
  • Creative mindset with strong interpersonal skills
  • Passion for healthcare, community outreach, or nonprofit-style mission work is a plus
