Job Summary

Assist Marketing and Communications for Daniel Stowe Conservancy with content creation, social media, events, and guest experience to support conservation and education goals.

  • Must-have: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from Marketing, Communications, PR, Journalism, Graphic Design, or related field.
  • Must-have: Availability for nights/weekends and willingness to wear a uniform.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Understands the importance of each guest to Stowe and drives excellence to ensure an optimal experience in every way.
  • Assists with creating and scheduling content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Assists with writing and editing website content, blog posts, press materials, and promotional copy.
  • Assists with photography, short-form video, and content capture on-site (as needed).
  • Supports events, exhibitions, and educational programs as needed.
  • Tracks basic marketing metrics and compiles reports.
  • Provides general marketing and communications support as needed.
  • Exemplifies Stowe’s Mission Statement and supports staff, departments, and leadership in pursuing and achieving goals.

Requirements

  • Exhibits a passion for the mission of Daniel Stowe Conservancy.
  • Successfully pass a standard background review.
  • Must be willing to wear a uniform and work outside as needed.
  • Available to work nights and weekends to support events.
  • Must be willing to serve all guests equally regardless of their race, color, religion, national origin, age, gender, marital status, disability, veteran status, genetic information, gender identity and/or sexual orientation.
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Graphic Design or a related field.
  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and trends.
  • Interest in nonprofits, conservation, education or the arts.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Basic knowledge of Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or social scheduling platforms is a plus (but not required).
