Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead the holistic social strategy across platforms, steering how the brand shows up through content, creators, community, and cultural storytelling.
  • Define, evolve, and safeguard the brand’s social identity—voice, tone, visual expression—in close partnership with Creative Studio, Brand, and agency partners.
  • Architect and oversee social initiatives from insight to execution—setting objectives, crafting roadmaps, defining KPIs, and ensuring flawless delivery that ladders up to business goals.
  • Manage the full social ecosystem: strategic planning, content development, creator programs, production workflows, publishing, and real-time engagement.
  • Drive cultural and trend intelligence, identifying emerging behaviors, formats, and creators that position the brand ahead of the curve.
  • Lead rapid opportunity assessment and activation, ensuring the brand shows up with relevance, timeliness, and authority in cultural moments.
  • Develop always-on content frameworks and culturally resonant campaigns that catalyze conversation and deepen affinity.
  • Pilot innovative formats, partnerships, and creative approaches; socialize learnings and elevate the organization’s social craft.
  • Champion community engagement strategies that cultivate belonging, mitigate risk, and fuel advocacy—turning audiences into active participants in the brand story.
  • Define KPIs, monitor performance, and optimize strategies based on data-driven insights; deliver clear reporting to leadership.
  • Manage social budgets and resources, ensuring strategic allocation and ROI.
  • Champion community engagement strategies that deepen brand love, mitigate risk, and drive advocacy.
  • Optimize content for discoverability and integrate social across digital channels for consistency and reach.
  • Lead agency and creator partnerships, setting expectations and ensuring output drives cultural relevance and brand growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, Digital Media, or Public Relations
  • 7+ years of marketing experience with at least 5+ with social media strategy experience
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship for full-time employment
  • Position is Full-Time, regular business hours, Monday-Friday
  • Office work environment: San Francisco, CA office
  • Remote work available once a week after 90-day onboarding period
  • Domestic relocation is available

Preferred

  • Experience with lifestyle, beauty, CPG, or culturally driven brands.
  • Expertise in social platforms and trend fluency—able to turn behaviors and cultural signals into breakthrough creative.
  • Proven success building social-first strategies and integrated programs that grow audiences and engagement.
  • Strong analytical skills—leveraging data and insights to optimize content and guide decisions.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments; adaptable and fosters innovation and creative risk-taking.
  • Audience-first mindset—skilled at building authentic communities and keeping the brand culturally relevant.
