Job Summary

Own and optimize IFAW media analytics to turn coverage into strategic insights for donors and the public, coordinating across multiple platforms and leadership teams.

  • Maintain and monitor a comprehensive media analytics tracker across traditional and social coverage of IFAW campaigns.
  • Translate channel results into actionable media recommendations and performance improvements.
  • Support leadership with reporting, briefing materials, and cross-team knowledge sharing to maximize outreach.

Job Description

Own and optimize IFAW's media analytics across traditional and social channels to turn coverage into actionable insights for donors and the public.

  • Responsibilities: Maintain and manage a comprehensive media analytics tracker, monitoring all coverage across traditional and social media related to IFAW’s conservation work and priority campaigns.
  • Responsibilities: Utilize Meltwater, Sprout, Asana, and other platforms to track, record, and evaluate media metrics.
  • Responsibilities: Evaluate the results of IFAW’s communications channels to craft recommendations that improve media performance.
  • Responsibilities: Collaborate with Communications Leadership and the global team to share knowledge and maximize outreach to key stakeholders, including donors and the public.
  • Responsibilities: Support Executive Office Director with administrative tasks related to Communications operations.
  • Responsibilities: Assist the UAE-based Executive Office Communications Manager with reports and internal documentation on progress and effectiveness of communications efforts.
  • Responsibilities: Monitor issues requiring leadership awareness or response from the Executive Office.
  • Responsibilities: Support interviews, speaking engagements, and stakeholder meetings with briefing materials as needed.
  • Responsibilities: Maintain additional trackers for Executive Office priorities and initiatives to support leadership decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in Communications, Analytics, Media Studies, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • In-depth experience in media monitoring and social media analytics.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with ability to synthesize information quickly and provide effective next steps.
  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a mission-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with media monitoring tools and analytics platforms is a must.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (in communications, analytics, media studies, or related field).
