Job Summary

Lead member communications and operations as the CAI-Arizona Communications Manager, coordinating content across email, web, and events.

  • Own member communications across email, website, and events.
  • Must-have: 3–5 years in nonprofit communications, marketing, or operations.
  • Strong CRM and website management skills, e.g., Wild Apricot and email platforms.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute organizational communications across email, web, and print
  • Design high-quality newsletters, event promotions, and marketing materials with strong brand consistency
  • Manage and update website content for accuracy, usability, and engagement
  • Own social media strategy, content creation, and scheduling
  • Manage and optimize CRM/database systems (e.g., Wild Apricot or similar)
  • Build and maintain a communications calendar aligned with events and priorities
  • Identify and implement tools and systems to improve efficiency and member experience
  • Track performance metrics and continuously refine communications efforts
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for members with a responsive, service-oriented approach
  • Manage member communications including onboarding, renewals, and engagement touchpoints

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in communications, marketing, operations, or a related role (association or nonprofit experience a plus)
  • Strong graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools)
  • Excellent writing and editing skills across email, web, and social platforms
  • Experience managing websites, CRMs, and email marketing platforms
  • High level of comfort with technology and learning new systems quickly
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • A proactive, resourceful mindset—you take ownership and figure things out
  • Professional, responsive, and member-focused approach
  • Experience with tools such as Wild Apricot, QuickBooks, or similar systems is a plus
