Job Summary

Drive executive communications for L’Oréal Operations, shaping COO visibility and North America leadership impact.

  • Draft and edit leadership materials for Operations senior leaders.
  • Must-have: 3–5 years in corporate communications with strong writing.
  • Standout: Creative, social-first storytelling across internal/external channels for dispersed Ops teams.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support the AVP in developing and executing executive communications strategies that enhance the visibility and impact of the COO and the Operations North America leadership team.
  • Draft and edit presentations, talking points, briefing materials, and communications updates for Operations senior leadership — bringing a creative lens to even the most complex operational content to ensure it lands with clarity and impact.
  • Assist in managing LinkedIn presence and thought leadership content for Operations leaders, identifying fresh, creative angles that position them as authentic and compelling voices in operations excellence, sustainability, and innovation.
  • Serve as a reliable and proactive support to the Operations leadership team on communications needs, helping them show up consistently and confidently across internal and external platforms.
  • Support the planning, development, and execution of Town Halls and all-hands meetings for Operations employees across North America — bringing creative ideas to the table to make these moments engaging, energizing, and worth showing up for.
  • Contribute to employee engagement and celebration initiatives, including recognition programs and events that strengthen team cohesion across geographically dispersed Operations sites, finding inventive ways to make employees feel seen and connected regardless of location.
  • Help develop and implement internal communications plans that keep employees informed, engaged, and aligned with Operations strategy, priorities, and achievements — always with an eye toward how creative storytelling can make even operational updates feel relevant and exciting.
  • Create compelling, imaginative content for internal channels — including newsletters, intranet, digital signage, and video — that celebrates operational excellence, safety achievements, sustainability milestones, and employee stories in ways that feel fresh, not formulaic.
  • Support the coordination and execution of high-level executive visits to Operations sites across the United States and Canada, contributing to logistical planning, briefing materials, site tours, employee engagement sessions, and post-visit communications.
  • Assist in stakeholder communications and outreach for key Operations partners, including customers, suppliers, government officials, and community leaders, helping shape messaging that is clear, credible, and on-brand.
  • Contribute to communication strategies for major operational milestones and transformation initiatives, supporting the Operations leadership team in communicating change in ways that build confidence and inspire action.
  • Bring a social-first, creative mindset to everything — actively seeking out the human stories, unexpected angles, and visually compelling moments that make Operations content stop the scroll and spark conversation.
  • Partner with the AVP and broader CA&E team to generate proactive internal and external content that highlights operational innovation, sustainability leadership, digital transformation, manufacturing excellence, and employee expertise.
  • Bring Operations stories to life through diverse and creative formats including social content, short-form video, photography, case studies, multimedia storytelling, and beyond — always thinking about how to reach audiences where they are and in formats they actually want to consume.
  • Support collaboration with media relations and brand communications teams to identify earned media opportunities, industry events, and thought leadership platforms for Operations leaders.
  • Contribute creative concepts and fresh ideas that help the Operations leadership team stand out, both internally and externally, as innovators and culture carriers within L’Oréal.
  • Manage and track multiple communications projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills and a bias for action, ensuring timely delivery, consistent quality, and alignment with broader Communications and Operations strategy.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and measurement of division-level communications plans, processes, and programs that support the Operations leadership team in achieving their goals.
  • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset by proactively identifying new communication opportunities, emerging channels, and creative approaches to elevate the Operations narrative — and then making them happen.
  • Partner with the AVP and subject matter experts on key initiatives including sustainability, industry transformation, safety excellence, and community engagement programs, translating complex topics into accessible and engaging communications they may be able to apply?

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in communications, corporate affairs, or Operations, with a genuine passion for storytelling, creativity, and employee engagement.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to translate complex operational and technical information into clear, creative, and engaging content across multiple formats and channels — from a leadership presentation to a short-form Instagram caption.
  • Social-first, creative thinker who understands how to adapt messages and content for digital and social platforms, and who brings a portfolio mindset to their work.
  • Highly organized, entrepreneurial self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously without missing a beat.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities, new information, and evolving business needs — comfortable with ambiguity and energized by a challenge.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and building relationships with internal stakeholders across diverse teams and functions, including senior leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent judgment, a collaborative spirit, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience contributing to event planning and execution, ideally for employee-facing programs or large-scale internal events.
  • Willingness to travel to Operations sites across the United States and Canada as needed.
