Role Title: Gas Turbine Engineer / Lifecycle Engineering Support
Location: Indianapolis, IN

Job Description:
- Provide technical support for in-service/delivered products and influence product maturity throughout the life cycle while ensuring Design Intent.
- Maintain safe, reliable, and cost-effective product attributes through life-cycle modeling of reliability, deterioration mechanisms, and costs.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage known and potential safety issues (SAR & RT) and participate in safety boards per the Safety Management Plan.
- Resolve technical queries and operational issues; lead root-cause investigations and recommend containment/corrective actions.
- Provide technical surveillance and quality assurance audits.
- Develop technical publications/communications and acceptance limits.
- Set reliability targets using historical data and monitor performance.
- Predict safety/reliability performance using failure rates and statistical techniques, including Numerical Risk Assessment, Parametric Distribution, and fly-forward analysis.
- Identify lifecycle cost-reduction opportunities through engineering policies and maintenance planning.
- Manage Maturity, Lifecycle Cost, Reliability, and Maintainability issues while maintaining Design Intent.
- Provide lifecycle technical data and support through-life performance modeling, time-on-platform predictions, optimization opportunities, and Service Operation Validation Strategy.
- Prepare technical presentations/reports for platform providers, regulators, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Lead and integrate Health Monitoring requirements and identify requirements for new systems/capabilities.
- Ensure regulatory, technical, and business compliance; where delegated, act as Technical Authority for build, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Gather in-service data and feed Best Practice and Learning from Experience into future programs and product design.
- Ensure technical solutions meet requirements, including returning service-run components to serviceable condition.
- Analyze product service deterioration and maintenance/repair data to support product maturity and lifecycle cost optimization.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, at least 2 years’ experience in gas turbine engineer support, knowledge of gas turbine components/systems and functionality, lifecycle engineering skills including root cause analysis, technical writing, and failure investigations, technical manual writing, ability to find and interpret technical information, knowledge of numerical methods, experience with novel and ambiguous complex tasks, familiarity with in-service operations and regulatory/compliance requirements, troubleshooting and problem resolution experience, cross-functional team leadership/support, and ability to learn technical information quickly.
