Job Summary

Own leasing operations and residency relations by turning inquiries into leases, maintaining pricing and vacancy knowledge, and handling paperwork with fast follow ups.

  • Leasing and sales enablement: convert phone and in person traffic into signed leases and explain policies clearly.
  • Resident experience and follow up: respond to needs, cultivate positive relations, and manage after-visit touchpoints.
  • Operations and data: keep up with rent, vacancies, lease expirations, and paperwork in the leasing process.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Provide information about the apartment and the community to the prospective residents and schedule visits to the community
  • Determine the needs and respond promptly to resident needs and concerns in a professional manner
  • Quickly close new sales and lease apartments
  • Use effective sales techniques on the telephone and in person to maximize the conversion of traffic to leases
  • Effectively explain all lease and community policies to new and current residents
  • Maintain an accurate and in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the community, particularly in areas such as rent and pricing information, vacancies, apartment availability, lease expirations, square footage, etc.
  • Analyze concerns associated with apartments which are slow to lease and offers recommendations to the Property Manager
  • Conduct follow up activity with all residents in order to establish positive resident relations
  • Accurately and efficiently prepares and assists with all leasing paperwork
  • Maintain current resident files

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Valid Driver's license required
  • 1-2 years apartment leasing experience
  • General working knowledge of computers and computer programs (MS Word, MS Excel, Resman)
  • Warm, engaging personality
  • Friendly, energetic with great people skills
  • Excellent at both phone and in person sales
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Read and write English fluently
  • Good organizational skills
  • Good verbal skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to close a sale
  • Ability to operate general office equipment
  • Ability to multi-task and commit to high performance in a busy work environment
