Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for prospective residents and visitors, both in person and over the phone
• Conduct engaging property tours that showcase apartment homes and community amenities
• Guide prospective residents through the leasing process, from initial inquiry through move-in
• Assist applicants with completing rental applications and lease documentation
• Prepare lease agreements and clearly explain lease terms to new residents
• Ensure all lease documents, payments, and move-in requirements are completed accurately and on time
• Maintain accurate guest cards, resident information, and leasing records in property management software
• Follow up promptly with prospective residents after tours and throughout the leasing process
• Respond to resident questions and maintenance requests while providing exceptional customer service
• Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure apartment homes and tour paths are ready for showings

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• College coursework or degree preferred
• Previous leasing experience preferred, although candidates with backgrounds in hospitality, hotels, retail, customer service, or sales are encouraged to apply
• Stable work history demonstrating reliability and professionalism
• Flexibility to work weekends as needed based on the community’s leasing schedule and business needs
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience with property management software such as Yardi or RealPage preferred
• Ability to explain lease information clearly and confidently

Preferred

• Spanish (Preferred)
• Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations is a plus, or willingness to learn
