Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Translate brand direction from Creative Studio into executable designs and lead concept design for new customer touchpoints, creating foundational standards that stay intact as we replicate them at scale.
  • Own design development on select special projects and flagships, from programming through site feasibility, stakeholder workshops, and final documentation.
  • Balance aesthetic, functional, operational, and financial needs by partnering with end users and cross-functional teams.
  • Specify smart material and finish choices that are durable and sourceable.
  • Collaborate with external architects and engineers to keep design intent intact through execution.
  • Work side-by-side with internal Construction Managers to provide guidance, resolve on-site challenges, and participate in the Construction Administration phase.
  • Create presentations that land with end users and leadership by weaving together vision, program, and customer experience.
  • Partner with retail and marketing teams to provide creative direction for campaigns, seasonal store designs, and new product launches.
  • Adapt quickly to shifting business needs and pivot prototypical design strategies effectively to maintain alignment with the company's growth trajectory.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional architecture or interior design experience with a concentration on scalable retail, commercial, or hospitality work.
  • Degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, Figma and modern 3D Spatial software.
  • Strong Design development experience with FF&E experience, millwork detailing, and ability to present design narratives to executive level stakeholders.
  • A solid understanding of aligning creative work with financial constraints, scalability, and operational feasibility, paired with the agility to thrive in a fast-paced environment characterized by rapid change, pivots, and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week (up to 5 days encouraged) at the assigned location.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to project sites, vendor facilities, and cross-functional workshops.
