Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Craft on-brand copy for digital and performance assets, including site, email, paid marketing, and other customer-facing channels.
  • Develop compelling headlines, body copy, calls to action, product storytelling, and campaign messaging that align with creative briefs and business objectives.
  • Support seasonal campaigns and marketing initiatives from concept through final execution.
  • Collaborate with designers, editorial leadership, and cross-functional partners to develop cohesive creative.
  • Adapt voice, tone, and messaging appropriately across channels and audiences while maintaining consistent brand standards.
  • Edit and proof copy and perform final QA on deliverables to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and attention to detail.
  • Manage multiple copy assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
  • Contribute to print collateral and in-home content as opportunities arise.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of copywriting experience, preferably within a retail, agency, lifestyle, or brand creative environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong copywriting and editing skills across digital and/or marketing channels.
  • Strong understanding of how to adapt voice and tone across different audiences, channels, and marketing objectives.
  • Ability to translate a creative brief into clear, compelling, and on-brand copy.
  • Excellent writing, editing, grammar, and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset and openness to creative feedback and direction.
  • Familiarity with adapting print editorial concepts and content to digital platforms.
  • Passion for design, home, lifestyle, and the Pottery Barn brand is a plus!
