Savvee Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Journeyman Policy/Legislative Specialist to support our federal client onsite in Arlington, VA. The ideal candidate monitors and analyzes federal, state, and local legislative activity, assesses the impacts on organizational priorities, and develops clear summaries, reports, and responses to proposed and enacted policies. They will also track congressional requirements, maintain reporting tools, and conduct in-depth research to support cybersecurity, infrastructure security, and resilience policy initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Reviewing new legislation and determining its effect on organizations.
• Monitoring sand analyzes activities and new policies established by local, state and federal governments.
• Providing summaries of the proposed or passed legislation and assisting with constructing responses.
• Assisting with tracking, monitoring and providing status reports on legislative activities in Congress and State governments.
• Analyzing legislation to identify relevant authorities, requirements and programmatic direction for cybersecurity and infrastructure security and resilience activities.
• Developing and maintaining a tracker for Congressional reporting requirements.
• Creating reports regarding legislation.
• Researching, editing, producing, and assembling background materials.
• Researching and gathering information to support the preparation of responses to public policy/government related tasks.
• Performing additional duties as assigned in support of evolving contract requirements and client needs.
• Understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to the client.
• Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND TRAINING

• Bachelor’s degree

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• Five or more years of experience
• Must have the ability to obtain the client’s suitability
• A proficiency in utilizing MS Office products
• Proven familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and responsible use of AIassisted tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A highly motivated selfstarter
• Must be motivated and have excellent customer service skills

• Master’s degree
