Job Description

The Grant Writer will research funding opportunities and develop grant-ready materials, proposal drafts, supporting documents, templates, and tracking systems that support staff in pursuing foundation, corporate, and government funding for Jesse Tree's rental assistance programs. Staff will retain responsibility for final proposal submission, grant management, funding commitments, and financial administration.

Member Duties : The Grant Writer will strengthen Jesse Tree's fundraising capacity by developing grant materials, donor outreach tools, fundraising systems, and planning resources that support long-term resource development. The VISTA may assist with fundraising outreach, while staff retain responsibility for final grant submissions, funding commitments, donation processing, financial transactions, and official donor records. Develop a grants submission plan with goals, timelines, and planning resources. Research funding opportunities and develop grant-ready materials, proposal drafts, templates, and tracking tools for staff review and submission. Develop donor prospecting tools, outreach materials, and tracking systems to support staff-led stewardship. Develop proposal, acknowledgment, and follow-up templates for staff use. Create grant records, a grants calendar, handbook, and toolkit for future staff.
