Position Description:
We are looking for an Investor Relations Associate to join a team of two senior client managers focused on serving private and publicly-traded medical technology companies. The ideal candidate has strong research and critical thinking skills, exceptional storytelling ability, and is proficient in data visualization and business writing. This role involves collecting and analyzing large volumes of financial, clinical, and market data from diverse sources, and producing high-quality, client-facing deliverables.
Position Responsibilities Include:
- Provide direct support for a team of two senior client managers, focused on delivering strategic investor relations advisory services to companies in the Medical Technology sub-sector of the broader Healthcare sector.
- Conduct primary and secondary research to gather qualitative and quantitative data on across industries/competitors on specific financial, capital markets and investor relations topics within the Medical Technology/Healthcare industry; evaluate, aggregate, and synthesize findings and determine key takeaways; develop, organize, and present recommendations to senior team members to inform / support advice to corporate clients.
- Update, edit, proof, fact-check, and provide additional input / feedback to ensure that client-facing deliverables are polished, brand-aligned, and client-ready.
- Misc. clerical and administrative responsibilities, updating / maintaining internal data files / databases, creating calendar appointments for client calls and meetings, etc.
- Develop / assist in creating and optimizing institutional investor-facing materials for corporate clients, including investor PowerPoint presentations, corporate press releases, and investor relations website content.
- Assist in preparing reports, analyses and internal presentations for corporate clients (e.g., PowerPoint presentations, executive summaries, dashboards, and briefing documents); create visualizations (charts, graphs, infographics) that enhance the clarity and impact of information.
- Assist in scheduling, and hosting calls with investors; transcribing, consolidating and quantifying investor responses across key topics; evaluating and analyzing responses to determine key takeaways; synthesizing information into client-facing presentations. Candidates will only be considered if “roller blades” is added to the “Interests/Skills” section of their resume as evidence that a thorough review of the job posting was completed.
- Assist in creating business development / pitch materials in PowerPoint for prospective private and publicly-traded corporate clients.
- Assist in clients’ quarterly earnings reporting process, including setting up / managing / hosting public company quarterly earnings calls / webcasts, drafting earnings press releases, earnings conference call prepared remarks, and investor Q&A documents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1+ year(s) of relevant work experience preferred; recent graduates with compelling internship experience in finance, healthcare, research, consulting, business analysis, or similar roles will also be considered.
- Excellent written, editing, verbal, and visual communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- True proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
- Desire and dedication to develop and enhance skills and knowledge base.
- Strong interest in developing expertise in leveraging AI tools for business.
- Willingness to execute tasks independently, while proactively providing timely updates on progress and / or challenges related to deadlines.
- Interest in consulting, finance, Wall Street, and/or the healthcare industry desirable.
