HR Generalist in Atlanta

Overview
The HR Generalist is a HR professional who plays a key role in delivering a smooth, consistent, and people-centered employee experience at Jackson Spalding. This role blends program ownership, project management, and hands-on support across several areas: talent acquisition operations, intern program management, HR generalist work, total rewards, employee onboarding, learning and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition Operations (Primary Area)
  • Manage recruiting workflows from start to finish including intake, job postings including LinkedIn, sourcing of passive & active candidates, interview scheduling, interviewing, candidate communication, administration of assessments, background/reference checks and offer logistics.
  • Partner with hiring managers on role scoping, interview planning, and candidate experience.
  • Create and maintain organized recruiting records, templates, and shared resources.
  • Support diversity and inclusion in recruiting through equitable processes and documentation.
  • Manage independent contractor process including contract generation, contractor communication and coordination with Finance.   
Intern Program Management
  • Lead year-round coordination and programming for the JS intern experience.
  • Manage intern curriculum, sessions, events and mentorship touchpoints.
  • Coordinate intern onboarding and offboarding with HR and hiring managers.
  • Lead recruitment for intern roles, including coordinating job postings, application review and interview processes.
  • Serve as liaison for all university recruiting efforts.
Total Rewards
  • Facilitate compensation decisions, meetings & calendars.
  • Serve as comp analyst for annual compensation surveys and prep/present analysis of data for annual compensation budgets.
  • Support on promotions & progressions analysis and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the Benefits & Payroll lead to support total rewards processes and events.
New Employee Onboarding (Shared Ownership)
  • Coordinate system access, checklists, and communication for new hires.
  • Track and communicate onboarding status across stakeholders.
  • Help maintain updated onboarding materials and templates.
Learning, Engagement & LMS
  • Serve as primary owner for internal survey administration, analysis, and reporting, delivering clear insights and recommendations.
  • Support learning content management, including maintaining organization, accuracy, and overall LMS hygiene.
  • Participate in planning and execution of learning sessions, including facilitation, content delivery and post-session follow-up.
  • Coordinate logistics for learning programs and events, including scheduling, communications, and on-site/virtual setup and breakdown.
Required Competencies

  • Collaborates effectively across teams, tailoring communication for different audiences and needs.
  • Confidently presents content, leads meetings, and facilitates discussions.
Qualifications
  • Required
    • 2–4 years of HR, culture, talent acquisition, or related experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree including coursework in HR or finance.
    • Strong project management, organizational skills and use of project management technology (ex: Asana.)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency with analysis and tech tools using Microsoft Office suite.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Collaborative, adaptable, and detail-oriented.
    • Able to work hybrid schedule - 2 days remote, Tu-Wed-Thur in office
  • Preferred
    • 2 years experience in recruiting or people operations
    • Experience with people analytics and/or finance
    • Experience with creating & administering onboarding or internship programs
    • Proficiency with HCMS tools, such as  Rippling and Lattice
    • Proficiency with Ai tools such as ChatGPT.
