Job Description

Homegrown Lacrosse is a Minneapolis-based 501(c)(3) sports-based youth development organization serving 8,000+ youth annually. Homegrown also serves as fiscal sponsor for two allied initiatives: Peace in Practice, a BIPOC-serving yoga and mindfulness organization, and the Indigenous Lacrosse Alliance, which revitalizes lacrosse in tribal and urban Indian communities. Homegrown is developing the Upper Harbor Homegrown Movement Campus within the Upper Harbor Redevelopment in North Minneapolis housing space for all three initiatives and the surrounding community. Homegrown lacks the fundraising infrastructure, donor systems, and community engagement framework needed to sustain a capital campaign of this scale. VISTAs will build the systems behind the campaign, including grant research pipelines, donor tracking infrastructure, and a community engagement strategy that ensures North Minneapolis residents help shape the campus vision. Goals include a repeatable fundraising process, a documented outreach strategy, and communications materials to support the campaign through completion.
Member Duties : Build the fundraising, donor management, and community engagement infrastructure needed to complete Homegrown Movement's capital campaign for the Upper Harbor Homegrown Movement Center, a permanent community campus in North Minneapolis serving Homegrown Lacrosse, the Indigenous Lacrosse Alliance, and Peace in Practice. This project will fight poverty by creating opportunities for youth from low-income households with access to physical activities and programs. Participation in these programs will increase overall health and wellbeing of participants and ensure a healthy future.
