Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The Head of Communications is a full-time remote role responsible for leading Roarke Regenerative’s communication strategy and execution across internal and external channels. This role oversees the development of comprehensive communication plans that support organizational goals, brand positioning, and stakeholder engagement. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and reviewing press releases, media statements, and thought leadership content; managing corporate communications campaigns; and ensuring consistent messaging across digital platforms and partner communications. The Head of Communications will collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to support fundraising initiatives, public awareness efforts, and community engagement. This role also involves monitoring communication performance, managing media relationships, and guiding internal communication practices to keep team members informed and aligned.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in Strategic Communications, with the ability to design and implement communication plans aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Proficiency in creating and managing Press Releases and media materials, including coordinating media outreach and responding to inquiries.
  • Strong Communication skills, including clear, inclusive written and verbal communication suitable for diverse audiences and stakeholders.
  • Experience leading Internal Communications initiatives to maintain transparency, alignment, and engagement across remote teams.
  • Background in Corporate Communications, including reputation management, brand messaging, and stakeholder communication.
  • Proven leadership experience managing communication teams or projects, preferably in nonprofit, environmental, or mission-driven organizations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment, with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with digital communication channels, social media, and content tools; experience with analytics and performance measurement is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Environmental Studies, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Commitment to environmental sustainability, climate action, and inclusive, equitable communication practices.
