A1Zap is hiring a Growth Implementation Lead, Campus Programs to build and run our campus launch engine across the US.

This is a full-time, equity role for someone who knows how to take a messy, high-potential growth motion and turn it into a repeatable operating system: recruiting builders, launching campus-native apps, tracking performance, fixing bottlenecks, and making each campus launch sharper than the last.

You’ll work directly with the founders to scale A1Zap’s Social Builders Program across multiple campuses - owning builder recruitment, onboarding, launch execution, program operations, and campus-by-campus growth.

The ideal person may come from implementation, customer onboarding, HR, growth operations, marketplace operations, program operations, or a high-accountability startup ops role at a company like Rippling, Deel, Ramp, Gusto, Uber, DoorDash, Brex, Twilio or similar.

What you'll do

Build and run the campus launch engine

Own the operating system for launching A1Zap across campuses: recruitment, onboarding, project tracking, launch planning, performance reporting, and weekly execution rhythms.

Recruit and onboard Social Builders

Identify, screen, and onboard high-potential student builders, creators, ambassadors, and campus operators. Build a repeatable pipeline for finding the right people on each campus.

Turn campus ideas into live products

Work with builders to take rough campus ideas and turn them into launched mini-apps, games, tools, directories, maps, marketplaces, and social experiences.

Implement the playbook campus by campus

Localize A1Zap’s launch strategy for each college. Understand the cliques, student groups, rituals, campus media channels, memes, calendars, and social dynamics that matter.

Own accountability and follow-through

Run builder check-ins, co-run office hours with the founders, track next steps, remove blockers, and make sure projects keep moving from idea → prototype → launch → distribution.

Build scalable program operations

Design and improve the systems behind the program: CRM, applicant tracking, contract flows, builder onboarding, launch checklists, app QA, feedback loops, content tracking, performance dashboards, and reporting.

Use AI and automation to increase leverage

Create lightweight AI/agent-driven workflows to help with builder follow-up, campus research, content review, app QA, performance tracking, and program orchestration.

Drive measurable campus growth

Support builders in launching apps that spread through campus communities, drive impressions, activate users, and create repeatable growth loops.

Who Are You

  • You are an operator who can turn ambiguity into execution.
  • You are highly organized, fast-moving, and comfortable managing many moving pieces at once. You like building systems, but you’re also willing to get into the weeds to make sure something ships.
  • You may have worked in implementation, onboarding, customer success operations, growth operations, marketplace operations, campus growth, creator programs, or startup generalist operations.
  • You have strong judgment about people. You can spot talent, run a good screen, identify who is actually high-agency, and build a strong cohort.
  • You have a good instinct for social products, internet culture, campus culture, or creator-led growth. You understand that what works at Harvard may not work at UT Austin, and what works in one campus clique may completely miss in another.
  • You are not just a coordinator. You can pressure-test ideas, push people to ship, hold builders accountable, and turn messy campus energy into a repeatable growth machine.

You might be a good fit if you have

  • Experience in implementation, onboarding, program operations, growth operations, marketplace operations, startup operations or HR
  • A track record of managing complex workflows with lots of moving parts
  • Strong written communication and follow-up discipline
  • Comfort working directly with founders in a fast-moving environment
  • Good taste in social products, campus culture, creators, or internet-native communities
  • An instinct for building repeatable systems without overcomplicating them
  • High ownership, high urgency, and low ego

About A1Zap

The Team

Our founders previously built Forage, growing it to 10M+ users, partnering with 5,000+ universities and hundreds of Fortune 500 companies, and taking it through a successful exit.

We’re also 2x Y Combinator founders, now working with a broader team of builders, creators, and operators to launch and scale campus-native products like Rate My Rent and other social mini-apps across universities.

In short: A1Zap is built by a team that has done this before.

What we're building

A1Zap is building the social network layer for social AI apps.

In the Social Builders era, social isn’t just something you consume. It’s something you create, remix, launch, and run together.

On A1Zap, students can turn ideas into mini-apps, games, tools, maps, directories, marketplaces, and campus experiences instantly - then share them with the communities they care about.
