Position Summary
The Graphic Designer & Social Media Strategist plays a crucial role in advancing our mission by visually and digitally communicating stories of gospel impact, sharing World Team’s vision, mobilizing believers for global missions, serving our missionaries, reaching donors, and strengthening the organization’s national recognition.
This role blends creative design excellence with digital marketing strategy to expand World Team’s reach, engagement, and support base.

This role blends creative design excellence with digital marketing strategy to expand World Team’s reach, engagement, and support base.
Qualifications
Required
- Demonstrates a growing relationship with Jesus Christ
- Actively involved in a local church
- Agreement with World Team’s statement of faith and passion for global missions
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of professional graphic design experience
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop; video editing a plus)
- Experience managing social media accounts for organizations or brands, including creating and scheduling content via third-party tools (i.e. Hootsuite, Loomly, Buffer, etc.)
- Strong visual storytelling ability
- Excellent written communication skills
- Understanding of brand consistency and digital engagement strategy
- Experience working with nonprofit or faith-based organizations
- Basic photography and video production skills
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms
- Knowledge of analytics tools
- Cross-cultural sensitivity and global awareness
- Creative and detail-oriented
- Self-starter with strong project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Collaborative team player

The Graphic Designer & Social Media Strategist is directly accountable to the Director of Engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Graphic Design
- Develop compelling visual assets for print and digital platforms (brochures, prayer guides, reports, infographics, event materials, email graphics, etc.)
- Maintain and strengthen World Team’s brand identity across all platforms
- Design materials that support missionary fundraising, church partnerships, and donor engagement
- Create visual storytelling pieces that highlight field ministry and gospel impact
- Prepare files for print production and digital distribution
- Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with organizational goals Create and schedule engaging content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)
- Write clear, compelling captions and calls to action that inspire prayer, giving, and going
- Analyze performance metrics and adjust strategy accordingly
- Collaborate with missionaries to gather stories, photos, and video content
- Manage content calendar and ensure consistent posting cadence
- Partner with the Communications team to support campaigns, conferences, and mobilization efforts
- Assist with email marketing design and digital campaigns
- Support website visuals and landing page design as needed
- Occasionally capture or edit photos and video for storytelling purposes
