We're looking for a contract Graphic Designer to help bring Brilliant Marketing's and our clients' brands to life. You'll design social media graphics and templates, marketing materials, and ad creative, and support email newsletters and brand refresh projects. The right person has a sharp design eye, loves clean on-brand work, and is excited to grow their skills at an agency.

This is a flexible role of up to 10 hours per week on a contract basis. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of design experience (agency, freelance, in-house experience) and a portfolio that shows strong design work. We're especially excited about candidates local to Bellingham, but we'll consider remote applicants.

You'll work closely with our Social Media + Content Specialist and Account Director, who will provide creative briefs, direction, and feedback, so you can focus on what you do best: designing.

Social Media Design

• Design on-brand social media graphics, carousels, and Stories in Canva and Adobe
• Build and maintain reusable Canva templates for Brilliant Marketing and client accounts
• Bring creative briefs and strategy direction to life in visuals
• Make sure all designs follow each client's brand guidelines

Marketing Materials

• Design flyers, one-sheets, pitch decks, and other print and digital marketing materials
• Prepare files for print and digital use

Brand Refresh Projects

• Support brand refresh projects, from updating logos, color palettes, and type to applying new brand looks across materials
• Help create brand assets and simple brand guideline documents

Collaboration

• Take direction and incorporate feedback from the internal team and clients
• Manage multiple design requests across clients and meet deadlines
• Meet in person 2x/month

Tools: Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Mailchimp, HubSpot, Meta Ads Manager, Notion

• A strong design eye. Please include a portfolio of your design work.
• Proficiency in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• A solid grasp of design fundamentals: layout, typography, color, and hierarchy
• Ability to design within existing brand guidelines across multiple brands
• Interest in social media trends and digital marketing
• Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable with deadlines
• Takes direction and feedback well, and is eager to learn and grow
• Someone who can easily switch tasks between clients and brands

• $20-$30/hour, contract

• 10% commission on new or upsold clients you bring in
