Job Description
Company Description
SwissMarketLab is a small team based in the Lausanne–Geneva corridor. We started in 2021 and, on paper, we're a marketing services company — but day to day we spend most of our time where high-growth crypto projects, DeFi teams, and Web3 startups actually need help: paid acquisition, launch windows, messy tracking setups, hiring that doesn't fall apart after two calls, and keeping launches from feeling held together with tape.
Our site lays it out plainly: we run performance media across the usual channels and the weird ones, we design dApp-facing UX that people can actually use, we recruit senior engineering and leadership talent with proper technical screens, and we support ecosystem work around TGEs, community scaling, and KOL coordination. Switzerland is part of how we work — we're careful with data, contracts, and what we promise — but we're not interested in corporate theatre. We want stuff shipped and measurable.
This hire isn't about "adding Web3 to our deck." We already live in that stack. We're looking for someone who can open and own the strategic partner layer: the exchanges, protocols, infra, media, and service providers who move the market — and who can turn those relationships into agreements our clients can rely on, not slide decks.
Role Description
You'll lead how SwissMarketLab finds, qualifies, and maintains strategic partnerships across the Web3 ecosystem — from infrastructure and liquidity to distribution, media, and talent partnerships where it makes sense. You'll work with our leadership and delivery leads so partnerships don't end at a logo swap: they have a path into campaigns, recruiting mandates, launches, and account plans.
You'll work US hours by default. That lines you up with North American partners and clients, with enough flex to connect to our Swiss leadership team and international partners when it actually moves something forward — not meeting soup for its own sake.
What you'll actually do
- Map the ecosystem we care about — exchanges, L1/L2, custody, wallets, compliance tooling, data, growth and media partners — and decide where we should double down versus stay away
- Run partner conversations from first call through terms: scope, commercials, legal review, and handover to whoever runs delivery
- Work with internal teams so a signed deal becomes something clients feel within weeks, not "eventually"
- Show up where it counts: selective events, partner briefings, and direct outreach in networks you've already earned your place in
- Help us sort signal from noise on regulation and partner risk — especially when something looks fine on Twitter and falls apart in diligence
- Build a twelve-month priority list we can defend internally and report on without vanity metrics
What we're looking for
You've been around crypto long enough to know what a full cycle does to partnerships and reputations. You've closed real agreements — not just intros — with legal and finance in the room. You have a contact list that isn't inflated: people who will take your call and tell you the truth.
You can explain Web3 tradeoffs to people who don't live on-chain, and you don't treat non-crypto colleagues like they're behind the times. Ambiguity doesn't scare you; hiding behind it does.
Nice to have
- Strong network or operating experience across US- and globally relevant exchanges, protocols, or infra (Asia-Pacific exposure is a plus, not a requirement)
- Familiarity with how marketing and recruitment partnerships actually get executed (SLAs, attribution fights, brand safety, hiring guarantees)
- Exposure to Swiss / EU-facing commercial expectations — clarity, documentation, follow-through
Salary and benefits
- Base salary: USD $170,000 – $210,000 (experience-dependent)
- Performance component tied to partnership outcomes we define together — not a vague "bonus pool"
- Health benefits: medical, dental, and vision — details shared at offer (we use a standard US employer-sponsored package)
- Fully remote within the United States; we care about output and clear communication, not performative online hours
- Flexible hours with agreed overlap for partners, internal leads, and occasional EU calls
- Paid time off: 20 days annual leave + US federal holidays (flexible around major launches when planned in advance)
A note on how we work
We're small. That means direct access, fast decisions when they're deserved, and no committee theatre - but it also means people who disappear in Slack or treat partners transactionally don't last. We want partnerships that still make sense after a bad market month.
How to apply
Apply through this LinkedIn posting.
To speed things up, send your CV, your LinkedIn URL, and a short note (a few paragraphs is enough) on the partnerships you've actually closed and what you'd do in the first ninety days to info@swissmarketlab.com.
