  • Exposure to cross-department collaboration and real-world social media strategy across exhibitions.

Job Description

Proceed with a social media internship at The Broad focused on community engagement, content creation, and real-time event coverage in Los Angeles.

  • Assist with community management across The Broad’s social media platforms, including responding to direct messages and moderating comments.
  • Create and curate social media content for platforms such as Instagram and TikTok.
  • Maintain social media features including Highlights and Link in Bio/Linktree.
  • Conduct trend and competitor research to inform social media strategy.
  • Perform audits of current social media tactics with a focus on audience engagement and content performance.
  • Support real-time social media coverage during museum events and programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to promote exhibitions and programming across digital platforms.
  • Present findings and insights from internship projects and assist with additional tasks as assigned.
  • Approach work with integrity and honesty.
  • Support and demonstrate the museum’s culture of developing a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and accessible environment for staff, contract staff, vendors, and visitors.

Requirements

  • Be currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate in either a bachelor’s degree program or an associate’s degree program.
  • Students must have completed at least one semester or two quarters of college by June 2026.
  • Students who graduated after April 1, 2026 are also eligible.
  • (Students who are enrolled in a second BA or BS program are not eligible.)
  • Attend college in or be a permanent resident of LA County; and
  • Be a United States citizen or permanent resident (non-citizen authorized to live and work in the United States on a permanent basis; also known as a "green card" holder). Students with DACA status valid through the internship period are also eligible.
