Job Summary

Own media relations support during Capitals games, coordinating lounge and press box setup, credential distribution, in-game statistics handoffs, and postgame audio recording, with additional duties as assigned. You will stay organized, multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate with a team to deliver strong communications and service. Applicants should bring solid interpersonal and written/verbal skills, a customer-service mindset, and readiness to work most Capitals home games.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with media lounge and press box set up.
  • Distribute credentials to media.
  • Pass out statistics between periods.
  • Record postgame audio.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Organized, able to multi-task and problem solve in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Hard working, detail oriented and results driven.
  • Strong leadership skills; a great teammate who enjoys working in a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer-service oriented.
  • Previous public relations, communications, or journalism experience preferred.
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Flexibility to work at least 90% of Capitals home games (typical game night hours: 4-10:30 p.m.).
