Job Description
Our creative team is seeking a creative and self-motivated freelance graphic designer to create engaging, on-brand graphics for a variety of media. The ideal applicant will possess strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Canva.
Responsibilities include:
- Translate creative direction into compelling visuals based on project requirements and input from clients, the Creative Director, and Project Manager.
- Design a variety of creative assets, including logos, social media graphics, promotional materials, digital campaigns, and other branded content.
- Maintain brand consistency by following established brand guidelines and client-specific creative standards across all deliverables.
- Create and adapt graphics across multiple digital platforms, including social media, email marketing, websites, and other digital channels.
- Manage design projects throughout the full creative lifecycle, from initial concepts and rough drafts to revisions and final deliverables.
- Organize and maintain creative assets and project files using Dropbox and Asana, ensuring files, drafts, and final designs are properly documented and accessible.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
- Experience in web and UX design
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively across teams
- Ability to receive and incorporate constructive feedback with professionalism
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn new skills, tools, and approaches
- Strong understanding of and passion for brands, media, and visual culture
Compensation / Engagement Details:
This is a freelance, project-based opportunity structured as an independent contractor (1099) engagement. Hours will vary based on project needs, and there is no guaranteed minimum number of hours or ongoing workload.
Work Arrangement: Remote, with regular collaboration across our creative and project teams. While the role is primarily remote, opportunities for in-person co-working may be available, and freelance team members may be invited to company gatherings, events, and other opportunities to connect with the broader team.
Compensation: $20–$40/hour, based on experience and expertise
Anticipated Hours: Approximately 10–20 hours per week when projects are active; hours may vary based on workload and project needs.
