Job Description
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
- Knowledge of fitness, wellness, recreation, and health promotion principles and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, assess, and continuously improve comprehensive fitness and wellness programs
- Knowledge of program planning, event coordination, and student engagement strategies.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and utilize data to evaluate program effectiveness and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Knowledge of facility operations, risk management, safety procedures, and fitness equipment maintenance.
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor policies, procedures, and safety standards related to fitness and wellness operations.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, vendor relations, and contract administration.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, train, motivate, and evaluate staff and student employees.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to market programs and increase participation through effective outreach, communication, and engagement strategies.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, administrators, community partners, and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated customer service skills and the ability to respond effectively to questions, concerns, and feedback.
- Strong oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to research, analyze, and resolve issues while exercising sound judgment and professionalism.
- Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply College policies, procedures, and regulations related to student services, recreation, wellness, and facility operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and utilize college software systems and technology platforms.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Adult CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Demonstrated experience in fitness facility management and supervision.
- Experience working at higher education facility.
- Knowledge of OSHA blood borne pathogens requirements.
