Job Summary

Own the entry level PR track by building media lists, tracking placements, and supporting trend and event work for client brands.

  • Media Ops: Create and maintain comprehensive media lists and track placements.
  • Pitch & Brand: Brainstorm creative pitches and brand-building opportunities.
  • Analysis & Events: Assist with trend forecasting, competitor audits, press clips, and on-site media events.

Responsibilities

  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive media lists
  • Brainstorming new, creative pitches and brand-building opportunities for clients
  • Track media placements for clients
  • Assist the team with trend forecasting, competitor media audits, and press hit clips
  • Support on-site tasks, including media events and editorial sample send-outs
  • Final individual presentation based on a brand of your choosing

Requirements

  • Interns are required to be in person at JBC’s NYC office on designated in-office days
  • Must be available 2.5 days a week between Mondays-Fridays (JBC will assign a weekly schedule based on candidate availability + division needs)
  • The schedule will be comprised of 2 full days and 1 ½ day
  • Full-day hours: 9:00am EST - 5:00pm EST
  • Half-day hours: 9:00am - 2:00pm EST
  • Vaccination against COVID-19 is a requirement if hired. Candidates may request an accommodation due to disability, sincerely held religious belief or exception required under applicable law.
  • A rising college senior or post-graduate individual looking to kickstart a career in the PR industry

Preferred

  • Familiarity with Photoshop, MuckRack, and Google Workspace is a plus
