Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Public Relations & Media - Assist in writing and editing press releases, media advisories, and announcements for HJGT tournaments and initiatives
  • Support outreach to sports media, golf publications, local outlets, and digital creators
  • Maintain and update media contact lists and press distribution records
  • Track media coverage and compile press recap and coverage reports
  • Event & Tournament Communications - Support PR efforts before, during, and after HJGT events
  • Assist with event recaps, athlete highlights, and milestone announcements
  • Help coordinate communications for National Championship Weekend and major tour events
  • Support live communication needs at events when applicable
  • Brand Storytelling - Help identify and develop stories around player achievements, rankings, college commitments, and tour milestones
  • Ensure messaging aligns with HJGT brand voice and elite positioning

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Degree in Marketing/Communications/Journalism or Related Field
  • Must be within Good Standing of your College/University
  • Passion for Marketing/Digital Media/Sports
  • Ability to Multitask in a Faced-Paced Environment
  • Excellent Communication/Writing Skills
  • Knowledge of Canva and/or Adobe Photoshop
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Attention to Detail
  • Desire to Learn

Preferred

  • Experience with graphic design preferably using Canva and/or Adobe Photoshop
  • Knowledge/Experience with content creation including but not limited to caption-writing, blogs, social media publication
  • Willing to provide creative content ideas, guidance and strategies to Influencers
  • Willingness to step outside of comfort zone
