Job Summary
Own the research and outreach flow for a political-PR environment, balancing media monitoring, journalist targeting, and executive positioning across conferences and awards.
- Media & journalist research: build media lists and track coverage for quick decision making.
- Executive positioning: identify conferences and awards to boost visibility and influence.
- Operational support: adapt daily tasks to shifting client needs and fast-moving briefs.
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Interns perform a range of duties, including media and social media analysis, researching journalists, building media lists, and creating social media content.
- Interns research potential stakeholders and opportunities to position executives at conferences and through awards.
- Daily responsibilities will vary depending on the needs of the firm.
Requirements
- Strong research and writing ability.
- High level of comfort with social media and other online platforms.
- Enthusiasm for news, public affairs, and/or public relations.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Established attention to detail and willingness to take initiative.
Preferred
- Preference will be given to candidates able to commit to a full-time internship.
- Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator, is a plus.
