Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Position Summary Under the general supervision of the Head Womens Basketball Coach, and in collaboration with the Assistant General Manager and coaching staff, the Executive Director of Player Personnel and Brand Development is responsible for the providing strategic direction around brand strategies, roster management and retention, particularly in the areas of NIL engagement and advancement, brand development, and corporate partnerships.
  • This position plays a critical role in preparing the program for best practices around player recruitment and retention while building and sustaining a championship-caliber program that enhances each student-athletes brand.
  • The incumbent will work independently to implement best practices in strategic personnel management in alignment with UCLAs standards of excellence and compliance with NCAA, Big Ten Conference, and University policies.
  • The incumbent may also assist the coaching staff with administrative duties that enhance the student-athlete experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five to seven years’ experience in recruiting, player personnel and/or brand development. (Required)
  • Thorough knowledge of NCAA Division I basketball rules, strategies, and operational procedures. (Required)
  • Proficiency in sports performance analysis software, video editing systems, and statistical databases. (Required)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to extract meaningful insights from data. (Required)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. (Required)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present data findings to coaches and players. (Required)
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. (Required)
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain large volumes of data, video, and scouting materials. (Required)
  • Ability to work effectively and diplomatically with individuals from diverse backgrounds. (Required)
  • Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office, and basketball-specific technologies. (Required)
