Responsibilities

• Public communications, public relations, marketing and promotions ownership for MMED.
• Direct coordination with the General Manager, Board of Commissioners, MMED staff, and Town of Mansfield on messaging and engagement.
• Respond to routine to complex inquiries with patience and courtesy to protect customer relationships.
• Lead communications strategies across public engagement channels and promotions.
• Occasionally work beyond normal business hours as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing and Communications plus five to seven years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public utility environment.
• Massachusetts Class D driver's license.
• Excellent customer service, organization, and written and oral communication skills is necessary.
• Person shall demonstrate professional skills in public communications in a customer engagement environment.
• Person shall demonstrate ability to work independently to prioritize goals, targets, and meet deadlines.
• Person shall have ability to multi-task to successfully accomplish the objectives of this position in accordance with Department policies and procedures.

Preferred

• Proficiency in graphic design software, video editing, word processing, spreadsheet software applications, customer information systems, and social media is highly desirable.
