Job Description

The executive assistant provides executive-level coordination and support to the Associate Vice Chancellor and Chief Communications and Marketing Officer (AVC & CCMO), as well as administrative and transactional support across a wide range of issues, projects, programs, and matters important to the Communications & Marketing department. Represents Communications and Marketing in a professional manner, exercising sound judgment, tact, and the utmost discretion. Manages calendars, travel arrangements, and itineraries for the AVC & CCMO. Incumbent will process purchase and travel requests, reimbursements, and other routine accounting transactions utilizing online financial systems for the Communications & Marketing department. Assists with planning and execution of special projects as assigned. Please be advised that applicants are required to submit a cover letter and resume for full consideration. The full salary range for the Executive Analyst & Assistant to Associate Vice Chancellor & Chief Communications and Marketing Officer is $74,384.25 - $108,710.47 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $90,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.

Thorough knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated correct usage of English, spelling, grammar, punctuation. Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide variety of people from all levels of internal and external organizations. Advanced skill in using software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and calendaring software. Knowledge of and experience with Internet search engines for data gathering purposes. Solid analytical/problem-solving skills. Knowledge of federal regulations such as FERPA.
