Responsibilities

• Event Planning & Execution: Plan, budget, promote, and execute a year-round calendar of member events, such as: Seasonal celebrations (Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, holiday gatherings); Concerts, live music, and entertainment events; Family events, youth activities, and community festivals; Lake & beach events such as band of the barge, boat regatta, etc.; Social and networking events for new and prospective members; Coordinate vendors, entertainers, caterers, rentals, permits, and volunteers; Manage event registration and payment processing; Oversee setup, onsite management, and teardown, ensuring safety and a high-quality experience; Track attendance, revenue, and expenses, and evaluate events through member feedback; Collaborate with Association committees and volunteer groups on event planning
• External Marketing & Promotion: Develop and carry out a marketing plan that promotes Lake Carroll to prospective buyers, visitors, and the regional community; Create engaging content, including photography, video, graphics, email campaigns, and blog posts; Coordinate advertising, print materials, signage, and promotional campaigns; Partner with real estate agents, builders, and local businesses to promote property sales and community awareness; Support guest and prospect tours, open houses, and welcome materials; Build relationships with local media, chambers of commerce, tourism organizations, and community partners; Attend various trade shows as needed to promote the
• Administration: Develop and manage event and marketing budgets; Track marketing performance and report results to the General Manager; Maintain brand consistency across all communications; Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate, timely promotion of amenities and programs

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in event planning, marketing, communications, hospitality, or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with social media platforms, email marketing tools, and basic graphic design software (such as Canva or Adobe)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines
• Customer service mindset and ability to work well with members, volunteers, vendors, and staff
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as events require
• Ability to pass a background check

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, hospitality, event management, or a related field
• Experience in a POA, resort, club, tourism, or real estate setting
• Experience with website content management systems and photography or video editing
• Experience managing budgets and vendor contracts
• Familiarity with event or association management software
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
