Job Description
Responsibilities
- Markets groups to carriers and prepares a formal renewal presentation.
- Managing renewal time-line and renewal process.
- Working with clients and producers for the purpose of gathering marketing data.
- Seeking opportunities for potential up selling of accounts.
- Coordinating with marketing lead when applicable.
- Sending groups to several markets for pricing and product comparison. Obtaining online quotes from carrier websites, when applicable.
- Negotiating client renewals with carriers based on competitive information.
- Preparing formal proposal for Producers to deliver to customers.
- Assisting with or collects data needed to market existing Employee Benefit accounts.
- Developing quality submissions to carriers for appropriate types of coverage.
Requirements
- At least six years related experience and/or training, preferably handling group health plans or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must hold applicable state insurance license or have the ability to obtain such within 90 days of employment.
- Must be able to obtain insurance designations as set forth by the organization’s education plan.
- Computer Skills: knowledge of Database Software; Spreadsheet Software; Word Processing Software; Internet software and Design Software.
