Job Summary

Drive full CRO and ecommerce site optimization for a DTC brand, owning pages, tests, data, and UX improvements to lift CVR.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own the full buyer journey: map, diagnose drop-offs, and fix conversion issues.
  • Own where paid media and email traffic land; ensure pages convert.
  • Own and execute the A/B testing roadmap with Shoplift, Intelligems, or your tool.
  • Analyze results rigorously, document learnings, and compound winners into site improvements.
  • Close CVR gaps across mobile, collection pages, PDPs, and homepage.
  • Implement heatmaps and session recordings to surface friction analytics can miss.
  • Own Core Web Vitals and page speed with 75%+ mobile traffic impact.
  • Own homepage, collections, and navigation to keep them current and conversion-focused.
  • Build and maintain collection sort logic, featured placement, and seasonal merchandising.
  • Optimize on-site search for instant product discovery.
  • Own site structure and internal linking for crawlability and organization.
  • Partner with brand and creative to ensure visual assets earn page real estate.
  • Integrate UGC into product and collection pages to boost trust.
  • Build and QA product pages: copy, imagery, variants, metafields, cross-sells, structured data.
  • Own on-page SEO for product, collection, and landing pages: titles, meta, headings, alt text, schema.
  • Own product launch checklists from photography handoff through go-live.
  • Implement size and fit tooling to reduce returns and increase confidence.
  • Maintain product data hygiene: tags, collections, inventory visibility, and SEO metadata.
  • Own product data feeds for Google Shopping, Meta catalog, and other channels.
  • Own full cart and checkout experience across devices; test and iterate flows.
  • Evaluate, select, and build our personalization layer (recommendations, dynamic content).

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years in ecommerce with 2+ years CRO/site optimization at a DTC brand.
  • Shopify Plus expert with page-level changes and Liquid familiarity.
  • Hands-on A/B testing with statistical rigor (Shoplift, Intelligems, VWO, etc.).
  • Strong analytics: GA4, Triple Whale, and heatmap tools (Lucky Orange, Clarity).
  • Merchandising eye; you understand page placement impacts sales.
  • Mobile-first mindset for a phone-first user base.
  • AI-native operator who uses AI daily to write copy, analyze data, move quickly.
  • Vendor evaluation experience: selecting/implementing Shopify apps and tools.
  • Detail-obsessed; catch wrong variant photos, missing sizes, broken metafields pre-live.
  • Working knowledge of on-page and technical SEO including AI search changes.
  • Fast, clear communicator; proactive, not needing step-by-step direction.
