POSITION SUMMARY
The E-Commerce Listing Associate is responsible for creating, finalizing, and publishing accurate, high-quality product listings for AVGear's used professional audio/video equipment across Shopify and other e-commerce platforms. This role takes draft product listings generated by the processing team and transforms them into optimized, market-ready listings that drive conversion and accurately represent the product's condition, features, and value.
This is a computer-centric, detail-oriented position requiring exceptional attention to accuracy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently within established procedures and templates. The E-Commerce Listing Associate works closely with the E-Commerce & Analytics Supervisor to ensure that daily, weekly, and monthly productivity and quality standards are consistently met.
This is an entry-level opportunity ideal for individuals who are detail-focused, comfortable working in digital systems, able to learn quickly, and committed to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Listing Creation & Optimization
- Review and finalize draft product listings created by the inventory processing workflow, ensuring all required fields are complete, accurate, and optimized for search and conversion.
- Write or refine product titles, descriptions, and metadata following AVGear's listing templates, SEO best practices, and platform-specific requirements.
- Verify that all product information — including manufacturer name, model number, SKU, condition ratings, dimensions, weight, and included accessories — aligns with data from the processing team and warehouse inventory.
- Ensure product images are properly sequenced, high-quality, and accurately represent the item's condition, cosmetic details, and manufacturer markings.
- Apply appropriate pricing based on supervisor guidance, market research, and product condition ratings.
- Publish finalized listings to Shopify and other sales channels in accordance with daily workflow priorities.
Quality Control & Accuracy
- Conduct self-audits of completed listings before publishing to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with AVGear listing standards.
- Identify and correct errors, inconsistencies, or missing information in draft listings before they go live.
- Escalate listing questions, discrepancies, or issues to the E-Commerce & Analytics Supervisor promptly for resolution.
- Ensure that all listings meet platform-specific requirements for categories, attributes, and metadata to avoid listing errors or rejections.
Cross-Departmental Coordination
- Communicate directly with the Inventory Processing team and Warehouse Operations to resolve product information discrepancies, missing data, or photo quality issues.
- Coordinate with the E-Commerce & Analytics Supervisor regarding pricing questions, market comparisons, or inventory aging concerns.
- Work collaboratively with Sales to ensure high-priority or customer-requested items are listed promptly and accurately.
- Flag items requiring special handling, additional research, or non-standard listing workflows to the supervisor.
Productivity & Workflow Management
- Meet daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs for listing output, accuracy, and quality as established by the E-Commerce & Analytics Supervisor and E-Commerce & Marketing Manager.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation for completed listings, in-progress work, and workflow status.
- Follow all listing procedures, templates, and standards consistently to ensure uniformity and quality across AVGear's product catalog.
- Manage time effectively to balance listing volume with quality; prioritize tasks based on supervisor direction and operational needs.
Continuous Improvement & Learning
- Become proficient with Shopify, listing templates, AVGear's internal systems, and e-commerce best practices through training and hands-on experience.
- Develop working knowledge of professional AudioVisual equipment categories, terminology, and common condition issues to improve listing accuracy and speed.
- Identify inefficiencies in listing workflows and communicate recommendations for process improvements to the supervisor.
- Stay current with platform updates, policy changes, and e-commerce trends that may impact listing requirements or optimization strategies.
Professionalism & Compliance
- Maintain confidentiality of all AVGear business information at all times.
- Act in a professional manner in all interactions with team members, supervisors, management, and cross-departmental colleagues.
- Understand and follow all AVGear Policies and Procedures.
- Report to work on time, at the time(s) prescribed by management.
- Perform cross-department or additional duties as needed or assigned by supervisor or management.
KPI FOCUS AREAS
Performance in this role is evaluated based on the accuracy, completeness, and volume of product listings created and published. The following metrics define productivity and quality expectations:
- Daily listing output and completion rate as established by the E-Commerce & Analytics Supervisor.
- Listing accuracy and completeness — measured by the absence of errors, missing information, or required revisions post-publication.
- Adherence to AVGear listing templates, procedures, and quality standards.
- Timely communication of issues, bottlenecks, or workflow delays to the supervisor.
- Continuous improvement in speed and proficiency as knowledge of products, systems, and workflows increases.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in data entry, product descriptions, and information verification.
- Strong computer skills and comfort working in digital systems, spreadsheets, and e-commerce platforms.
- Excellent written communication skills; ability to write clear, professional, and grammatically correct product descriptions.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple listings simultaneously without losing track of details.
- Fast learner with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems, templates, and workflows.
- Reliable, punctual, and consistent attendance — this role is essential to daily e-commerce operations.
- Positive attitude, self-starter mentality, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred
