Job Summary

Own cross functional marketing for a large division, turning data into plans, shaping product and pricing, and driving market share across targeted segments.

  • Demand/Ownership: Lead the marketing plan and timelines to hit profitable growth goals.
  • Cross functional leadership: Direct division marketing, sales, and customer service and act as the field liaison.
  • Product and market insight: Identify new product opportunities with engineering and forecast market trends and competitors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to support the division’s business plan
  • Provide direction and recommendations based on data related to products, advertising, markets, pricing, strategic planning, acquisitions
  • Lead all division marketing, sales, and customer service functions; supervise division sales and marketing team
  • Meet division’s profitable growth goals
  • Act as liaison between the division and the field
  • Establish realistic goals to capture market share in targeted markets
  • Establish timelines and goals for achieving the Marketing Plan
  • Identify technology, growth trends, national and global competitive factors; forecast in market segments
  • Identify and develop new products and opportunities for existing products with engineering and operations
  • Coordinate development and implementation of product commercialization, including promotional programs and training programs for field and inside sales and distribution networks

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering is required
  • MBA is preferred
  • Seven to 10 years of experience in sales, marketing, or technical field requiring frequent customer interaction
  • 3 to 5 years of the above experience in supervision of professional sales and/or marketing people
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Written/verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership and team building skills
  • PC literate (MS Office and Lotus Notes preferred)
  • Domestic and foreign travel as needed
