Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Brand Builder: Partner with Creative Director to develop overall video and motion strategy to support brand positioning. Functions as brand manager to stand up content strategy and ensure consistency across all platforms. Develop and evolve the language for motion, including tone and manner, design systems, graphics, typography, animation, and integration of video within the broader brand aesthetic.
  • Strategic Thinker: Partner with Creative Director and Marketing to support 360 through motion storytelling. Translate brand strategy into compelling video content across a range of formats—from brand films to performance-driven digital content. Bring deep understanding of video trends, social media landscape, emerging platforms, and best practices within beauty while disrupting conventions.
  • Creative Collaborator: Partners closely with cross-functional Editorial, and Marketing teams to concept and lead video initiatives to support the client experience. Works with Creative Operations to align on best creative production strategy to ensure accurate execution of creative vision and marketing briefs.
  • Director + Editor: Lead and direct all video content and production across the brand. Proficient in executing post processes including editing, retouching, etc. Review and provide clear feedback and direction across editing, pacing, motion graphics, and animation.
  • Motion & Design Integration: Bring a strong understanding of graphic design, typography, and animation to elevate storytelling within video. Partner closely with Art Director and designers to ensure graphics and visual elements seamlessly integrate with the brand’s overall creative system.
  • Brief Development: Partners closely with Creative and Operations to create clear briefs for various creative partners. Understands the value of content across creators and channels while working with Creative Ops to distribute creator briefs accordingly.
  • Cross-functional Partner: Builds and maintains relationships with cross-functional partners to ensure strategic objectives are met. Regularly meets and collaborates with various cross-functional teams including Brand and Product Marketing, Influencer, Social Marketing, Retail & EDU. Will be directly connected to Social Marketing team to align on social goals and build on creative partner content.
  • External Partner: Partners with outside agencies and vendors when appropriate including: social creative and production agencies. Manages agency relationships to ensure work is aligned with brand and agency is leveraged in effective manner.
  • Inspirational Mentor: Actively work with junior members of the team to make sure that all executions are of the highest quality and adhere to the brand. Helps to educate team in creative expertise and knowledge including video production, art direction, photography, design, and typography.
  • Skilled Presenter: Represents creative team in a variety of settings: large/small groups, direct reports, managers, formal presentations.
