Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develops and builds collaborative work relationships with Elliot Health System leadership (the “client”), Marketing and Communications leadership and team, and other key stakeholders/clients across the system to consistently evaluate business opportunities and align marketing and communications strategies.
  • Proactively provides subject matter expertise to properly advise and manage client expectations and direct the day-to-day priorities and operations of the department’s marketing and advertising team.
  • Serves as a strategic partner to department teams, physicians, clinical and operational leaders, and senior leadership to ensure integrated marketing, advertising, and communications initiatives align with organizational and growth priorities.
  • Serves as a key leader with the system’s Marketing and Communications team; interfaces with system executives, other leaders, and cross-functional teams; implements best-in-class approaches and processes in strategic marketing and advertising and direct to consumer and B2B services, and works in partnership with the Director of System Communications and Public Relations to maximize multi-purpose brand and community engagement, content strategy, and social media.
  • Assesses business needs and leads the development and execution of proactive, integrated multi-channel marketing communications strategies informed by data analysis, business intelligence, and customer insights to advance business growth. Ensures plans are audience-specific, data informed, aligned with access and capacity considerations, and support key growth objectives.
  • Enhances internal and external clinical program engagement; develops related content positioning and actively participates in the planning and execution of various client and team member meetings.
  • Leads and directly supervises a team of integrated marketing, advertising, and communications strategists responsible for customer-facing promotion for priority clinical programs and business care models. Serves as a role model, and fosters an integrated, collaborative, and data-driven team culture which is known for high reliability and excellence in execution.
  • Evaluates and helps manage marketing-supported vendor relationships, including oversight of request for proposal processes and negotiation and management of vendor contracts in collaboration with Marketing and Communications senior leadership.
  • Regularly scans internal and external environments for marketing and communications improvement opportunities; proactively identifies issues and opportunities impacting the system’s reputation and brand.
  • Guides team members with the planning of special events, open houses, and other related activities, in coordination with other members of the systems’ Marketing and Communications and Public Relations team.
  • Plans, manages, and coordinates the production of integrated marketing, advertising, and communications projects for internal and external audiences. This may include, but is not limited to, digital and web content, direct marketing materials, blog articles, newsletters, publications, and related collateral materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or Business Required
  • Masters Degree Preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant, progressive leadership experience in an integrated marketing and communications or business capacity
  • Experience in a healthcare organization required
