About the Role:
The Sr. Manager, Strategy – New Markets is responsible for building and sustaining Knauf’s mergers and acquisitions (M&A) capability. You will work closely with senior leadership to establish the processes and structures that enable Knauf to identify and evaluate opportunities. On an ongoing basis, you will maintain a healthy M&A pipeline, conduct market scans, lead initial diligence on target markets and companies, and develop business cases for both organic and inorganic growth.
Responsibilities
  • Build out Knauf North America's M&A capabilities and processes.
  • Develop a M&A pipeline and process to ensure a robust, current pipeline.
  • Identify attractive adjacent markets and conduct initial due diligence on those markets and target companies within them.
  • Support deal execution and integration, in collaboration with other Knauf team members and third parties as needed.
  • Consult with stakeholders and subject matter experts across the organization to collect data and information needed to answer strategic questions.
  • Develop business cases for both organic and inorganic growth opportunities.
  • Execute other prioritized strategy and business development initiatives independently with limited guidance.
  • Drive the highest levels of employee retention and engagement to ensure a sustainable workforce.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the organization.
  • Instill an environment of inclusion where all employees feel that they can contribute and impact the company in a positive manner.
Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field
Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in a business development or M&A function or equivalent experience with business case development and market assessments
