Job Description
Responsibilities
- Lead the overall direction and success of the Respiratory Therapy department
- Oversee daily operations to ensure efficient, patient-centered care delivery
- Establish and track monthly department goals aligned with facility objectives
- With clinician input will coordinate staffing schedules, sub-acute admissions, and manage caseload distribution
- Ensure delivery of evidence-based, clinically appropriate respiratory care
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations
- Oversee accurate and timely documentation and service delivery records
- Maintain working knowledge of payer requirements, including Medicare PPS
- Recruit, train, mentor, and retain high-quality respiratory therapy staff
- Conduct orientation, ongoing training, and competency assessments
Requirements
- Current Respiratory Therapist license in the state of Utah (required)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (required)
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
Preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience in rehabilitative or long-term care settings
- Knowledge of Medicare PPS and regulatory requirements
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
