Job Description

Lead PR for Southern Land Company across divisions, translating strategy into visible, reputationally strong narratives.

  • Own the execution of a comprehensive PR strategy across SLC divisions.
  • Must-have: Established press relationships across national business, real estate, architecture, and lifestyle outlets.
  • Standout: Experience guiding executive communications and leadership profiles in luxury/real estate branding.
  • Central point of contact for all PR efforts company-wide.
  • Proactively build relationships with national, regional, and local press.
  • Secure consistent earned media across developments, markets, and corporate initiatives.
  • Lead all media requests and manage reactive communications aligned to messaging.
  • Develop pitches for openings, groundbreakings, awards, and design stories.
  • Identify podcast and blog opportunities to broaden reach.
  • Maintain key company messaging, boilerplates, and executive talking points.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • 10–15 years of progressive PR and media relations experience
  • Established press relationships across national business, real estate, architecture, luxury, or corporate outlets
  • Proven success leading PR campaigns and generating consistent earned media
  • Strong writing, editing, and messaging development skills
  • Experience supporting senior executives and managing sensitive communications
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organizational skills
  • Experience overseeing agencies and managing budgets

Preferred

  • Experience ideally within real estate development, architecture/design, luxury brands, or corporate communications.
