Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are in search of a Director, Project Management who will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless execution of projects and strategic initiatives across Global Prairie. In this role, your expertise will be critical in overseeing the development of project estimates, management of account budgets, and ensuring timely delivery of projects of varying scopes and complexities, with high levels of uncertainty within the projects themselves. Collaborating closely with a dedicated team of project managers and cross-functional partners, you will lead by example, implementing best practices in project management and fostering an environment of operational excellence that balances process and high levels of flexibility. Drawing upon your extensive background in project management, you will empower our teams and clients to achieve their objectives with precision and foresight.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Oversees the execution of complex projects which have a high level of uncertainty. ambiguity and unknown dependencies
  • Orchestrates and drives key account, project, and company strategies from genesis to fruition
  • Acts as a strategic thought partner to project leads by understanding the client's business and challenges, carrying this knowledge through into the Project Management role and the delivery of the client's work to help enhance overall team efficiency and performance
  • Identifies areas of improvement in the work and makes actionable recommendations to the team
  • Models operational excellence across described Project Management functions in their own client account work, as well as within Global Prairie as a whole  
  • Brings a deep understanding of our company and team's capabilities and skillsets in the management, execution, and counsel of projects
  • Regularly leads and develops estimates, timelines, and assumptions for project scopes spanning across a duration of one week to 12+ months, with varying degrees of complexity and unknown assumptions
  • Comfortably manages financial health of projects and/or accounts supported, including tracking spend, properly forecasting resources and adjusting throughout project according to the budget, analyzing trends and burn rate and regularly communicating with Finance and other functional teams on findings
  • Establishes positive relationships with teams, modeling our values and demonstrating consistent leadership
  • Serves as an extension of the Managing Directors by aiding in the education of Project Management function across the agency
  • Guides and mentors Associate and Manager-level Project Management team members to reach their full potential
  • Identifies and supports company growth opportunities through participation in new business efforts
  • Proactively identifies leadership roles within Global Prairie and Project Management functional team to advance their personal growth and impact to Global Prairie

Additionally, the ideal candidate meets these qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience, with prior roles in marketing or project management.
  • Agency experience in an account management or project management-related role is favorable, but not required.
  • Experience in data and technology industries is favorable, but not required.

The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The final agreed upon compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including but not limited to: candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experiences and may fall outside the range shown.   • Expected Compensation Range: $110,000 - $145,000

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK CONDITIONS 

The physical activity required of this position includes standing, walking, lifting, pulling, pushing, kneeling, reaching, stooping, talking, hearing and use of repetitive motion.  Light work is required of this position, occasionally lifting or moving objects between 10-20 pounds.  The visual acuity of this position requires the ability to operate a motor vehicle.  This position will not be substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
