About the role

InMobi is rebuilding the product stack that monetizes the open web for the "future". We are hiring a Group Product Manager in New York to be part of that work.

There are two parts to the job. The first is getting our fundamentals to best-in-class — auction efficiency, fill, transparency, addressability, ease of integration — by closing the gaps that publishers and buyers actually care about. The second is building the monetization products for what comes next: where the familiar units of page, placement and impression stop being useful.

The role reports directly to the SVP of new initiatives. That means short decision loops and real latitude on the bets you want to make, and it also means you will be defending those bets in the same room where they get funded. You should expect to stay close to the work itself: in the data, in the oRTB payloads, in the prototype, in the room with a partner.

What you'll own

  • Own the Product strategy and the multi-quarter roadmap for InMobi's web monetization stack product line.
  • The publisher integration surface — Web SDK, header bidding and Prebid (client- and server-side), server-side connections, LLM surfaces, and the developer experience that makes us easy to adopt and hard to leave.
  • Yield, across both auction-based monetization and deal-based demand (PMP, Private Auction, Programmatic Guaranteed, curated packages), and the economics of every supply path underneath it.
  • Demand-side product work with DSPs, exchanges and curation partners to grow demand for web, improve auction dynamics and lift effective CPMs and fill.
  • New AI-native monetization products, built for how these interfaces behave rather than retrofitted.
  • The experimentation loop — A/B and holdout frameworks, clean measurement, and a fast path from hypothesis to shipped change to validated impact.

What we're looking for:

You should know the open-web monetization stack in genuine detail, with enough fluency in OpenRTB, be able to read a bid request and tell us what is wrong with it. That extends to header bidding and Prebid on both client and server, wrapper and ad-server integration, supply-path optimization and the plumbing around it, and a working read on identity, quality and measurement — Privacy Sandbox, UID2, RampID, viewability, IVT and MFA — including a point of view on which parts of that are actually working.

Equally important, we want someone who arrives with the market already in hand. You should have worked monetization leads at major publishers and the supply and trading counterparts at the large DSPs well enough,to be able to put an idea in front of them, and be able to independently receive feedback. A lot of what we build will be settled by those conversations rather than by internal debate, so running that loop yourself is the difference between shipping in weeks and shipping in quarters. It also means you first hand sense of concerns our partners and customers face.

The third thing we care about is that you build AI-first. We mean that you have shipped something where the model does the work rather than sitting on the feature list, that you prototype yourself — LLM APIs, agents, evals — rather than describing what you would like someone else to build, and that you hold a defensible view on what LLM-mediated surfaces do to the demand path and to the unit of inventory itself. Using AI to make your own work faster is assumed here; we are looking for someone who treats it as the material the product is made from.

Beyond those three, we would expect ten or more years in product with substantial time in adtech, programmatic or publisher monetization, a track record of shipping things that moved revenue — ideally including taking a platform from behind to best-in-class — and the ability to carry engineering, GTM and partnerships with you without holding authority over any of them.

How the role is measured

Publisher revenue and retention, advertiser performance and trust, and the consumer experience on the other side of the impression. In the first year we would expect the prioritized fundamentals gap closed, at least one AI-native monetization product in market with real demand behind it, and an experimentation cadence quick enough that we stop debating which change worked.

AI-First Builder Mindset

  • An AI-first thinker who uses Generative AI across the workflow — strategy, analysis, experimentation, and execution.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, or similar — able to build lightweight tools, prototypes, dashboards, and automations without waiting on an engineering queue.
  • Excited about using AI to compress the distance from idea to working solution, and to materially raise both personal productivity and product outcomes.

Ideal Background

  • 10+ years in Product Management, with substantial time spent in AdTech, programmatic, or publisher monetization — ideally with direct web / open-web ownership.
  • Experience with large-scale consumer platforms, advertising-technology companies, or digital publishers, operating at meaningful scale and complexity.
  • A proven track record of shipping products that drive revenue and measurable business impact — and ideally of taking a platform from "behind" to "best-in-class."
  • Strong cross-functional leadership: able to influence engineering, GTM, partnerships, and executive stakeholders, and to communicate complex technical concepts crisply to non-technical audiences.

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $[320,000] – $[350,000], depending on location, experience, and skills, plus bonus, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package. (Insert the approved range — required in NY, CA, CO, WA, IL, and other jurisdictions with pay-transparency laws.)
